The Allergies and Intolerances module records drug and other allergies/intolerances and interoperates with the medications module. The system is regularly updated with new medications from First Data Bank, and uses discreetly coded values for consistency. When a user free-texts in a medication, the allergies/intolerances module is unable to display a warning of a possible interaction.

The system's allergy and intolerance module will document coded medication/drug-allergy/intolerances, as well as free-text options to record other, non-medication allergies/intolerances. The system allows multiple entry points and views to keep the user informed and alerted about the chart they are working in.
