The Injection/Immunization module is a tool that helps clinicians forecast, track, and manage historical or current immunizations.  The system even has automated email notifications to remind patients of future immunizations, and via the portal, allows them to self-schedule those injections. Patients may also directly access their immunization records from this portal as well.  Portal use is covered in the 201 series of courses.  Additionally the system provides access to Vaccine Information Handouts through the integrated CDC VIS Website, seamless integration with the optional inventory module (Course 204.F), and even has pre-loaded clinical Decision Support rules, designed to trigger alerts for concerns such as egg allergies or to prevent the administration of an expired vaccine.
