The System comes pre-defined with 10 security roles from roles like applicants & employees, Clinical staff &  Physicians, to the System Owner and even a simple view only role.  These roles define the default access privileges for users assigned to them and can be modified, deleted and even new roles added.  The Security Roles control panel in conjunction with the Access Control, Control panel manages this functionality.
When you first enter the Security Roles tab through control panel on the side menu you are presented with a list of security roles, a count of users in each role and links to edit, delete or view revisions for each role.  Links for Comparing roles and adding new ones are found in the top right corner.
